Handcrafted Sheer Curtains with Crochet Hooks

Pure white and translucent curtains can also be crafted using crochet hooks. The unique hand-knitted style, materialized in every stitch and line, is delicate and translucent. The lightweight, gauze-like crochet patterns are delicate, soft, and elegant. The finished products, under the contrast of light and shadow, exude a warm and cozy atmosphere. The two curtain crochet patterns shared here are divided into two distinct crochet styles.

The first style involves ‘piecing together flowers’ where multiple identical circular flowers are crocheted separately and then connected ‘edge by edge’ in the final round. The second style starts with ‘locking the edges’ according to the knitting size, then crocheting in a loop according to the corresponding stitches. After repeating the loop to a certain height, crocheting ‘lace’ along the top and bottom edges is done.

Both sets of lace curtains have simple and translucent patterns, using not-so-complex knitting techniques. However, these are considered ‘major projects’ in hand-knitting and can be relatively time-consuming and labor-intensive.
